Despite the temptations of Tweetie 2, I’ve found myself coming back time-and-time again to Birdfeed for tweeting on the go. Birdfeed 1.2 is now out, and there’s a tonne of changes, most of which are listed in this post.
I’ve never really been tempted by Tweetie 2 because it just feels so heavy. I don’t need a mobile Twitter client that wraps every single aspect of the API. I just want a refined, no frills reading experience with decent posting capabilities. Birdfeed excels at that. Sadly, I fear I am in the minority on that aspect as the iPhone/Windows user demands bloat + lowball pricing in their software, which is why Tweetie dominates.
